What Became of the Members of the Class of the 60's

Margaret Dayton was the local newspaper columnist for the Livingston Manor Times and other local weeklies during the period from mid-1960's and through the 1970's. In writing about events going on concerning the people of the Manor, she had many sources. Her husband was the local Boy Scout leader. She had many contacts who would keep her abreast of local personal happenings. And she had two sons who were either still in high school or entering college. All these sources made her columns, perhaps a little gossipy at the time, now a rich source of local history during this period.

Many of her sources were tied to the youth of the Manor. With these connections, many items in her columns kept track of LMCS graduates after they left school. Items concerning members of the classes of 1966 and 1967 were especially numerous. I compiled these notes last winter and shared them with class members.   - Fred
