July 15, 2007 - The Laceys of Corbett NY in Delaware
County had their
annual "2nd Saturday after the 4th" picnic at the Corbett Community Hall
and field. This year there was a turnout of about 70 coming. The picnic
started as the descendants of Silas Lacey but has been extended to Silas'
brothers Wiley and Joe. The weather was threatening and the rain came but
lasted only a short time..
The food was great and people brought a dish to
pass like the old-time tradition. The winner of the door prize cactus
