Mother looked at the pictures and told me the one about Dealia and Schuylert -
Its great Aunt Dealia Roosa and Uncle Schuyler Roosa (brother and sister) both
Aunt Dealia and Uncle Schuyler were very tall. According to mother Aunt Dealia
was 6ft and maybe a little over. Mom says she remembers Aunt Dealia visiting
off and on when she was a child and thought that she was the tallest woman she
ever saw. Uncle Schuyler was married to Aunt Millie (I think her maiden name
was Lawrence) - this isn't kind but its true that she kind of resembled Margaret
Hamilton who played the Wicked Witch of the East in the Wizard of Oz - but we
loved her). He worked for the road crew most of his life. - Mary Winston
Parkston_Postoffice.jpg This is the old Lacey homestead that the Barnharts lived in and had it as
a post office. The sine on the fron says Parkston Post Office. The house
burned in 1935 after Wiley and Lillian Lacey lived there.
Train_wreck_fisherman.jpg This is the O&W train wreck between Livingston Manor and Roscoe. The
picture is in the O&W train book. The man standing in the middle with the
fish pole looks like Wiley Lacey - a blowup is the next picture - what do you
think.
