off, but Lois, Rose, Ethel come to mind you will have to fill in their names
-- I'm sure Carl the 3rd can help)
Standing: Allen O'Keefe Sr. (in the shadows behind Roy -- don't remember,
think he was A&P butcher), Roy Johnston, Ralph Quick, Kenneth Curry, Mary
Johnston, Dale Johnston, ( ? not harry) Sturdevant, Clifford Nappanock
(might need a spell check).
I do not recall the event but circa S/B 1940/41-- prior to Dutch O'Keefe
entering the service, and looking at Sarah Johnston, she looks around 8 at
the time.

Ralph Quick (left) in the Arlington, next Gentleman --a fly
fisherman and small game hunter from NJ, next three at the bar (?? or rather
not) notice the Dewey Poster, should put this -- fall of 47 then Greg. Sr.
also notice the coca cola competition under bar -- "Spur"

I don't know the tall charming lady on the left, think she
is from Liberty? then Greg Sr., Charlie Fuhrer, and Billy Fuhrer
Arlington's Annual summer Clam Bake. This was middle of late forties..

Leaders: up front Irving Avery, Scoutmaster
in the rear (I believe) Clarence Loucks, Cub Leader
Front to rear/left to right Jack Sherwood, Norman Buck, Paul Greenfield,
Greg Deblase. Sea Scouts all and like Neversink -- sunk. Then Leading the
Boy Scouts, Senior Patrol Leader, George Van Steenburg. followed by the flag
bearers, Ted Fontana, Burr Hartig. then William Hendrickson, Vernon Buck
behind Wm. Henderickson (?) also hidden to the right (?) then Earl Gorr,
Thomas Walkerwics, Benjamin Nelson , passing his family's fruit store. The
only Cub i think i recognize is Alan Fishman (just to the right of the
second American Flag..) passing his father's Central Pharmacy.
Further up Main Street past the movie house is Fontana's , then next used to
be a candy store which was also the summer bus stop ( the Short line
stopping at Fuhrer's drug store. the next bldg. was Newman's meat , which
Robbie put in a restaurant during the early fifties, next, on the other side
of the Little Beaverkill the two story was an other Kosher Meat Store. I
believe Cohen's. two very nice elderly man. taught me the first two Jewish
words how to pronounce the Jewish lettering in their window "kosher meats
and poultry" -- barsha gasha is as close as i can remember phonetically
